torchrecurrent.LiGRU#
- class torchrecurrent.LiGRU(input_size, hidden_size, num_layers=1, dropout=0.0, batch_first=False, **kwargs)[source]#
Multi-layer light gated recurrent unit neural network.
[arXiv]
Each layer consists of a
LiGRUCell, which updates the hidden state according to:\[\begin{split}\begin{aligned} z_t &= \sigma(W_{ih}^z x_t + b_{ih}^z + W_{hh}^z h_{t-1} + b_{hh}^z), \\ \tilde{h}_t &= \mathrm{ReLU}(W_{ih}^h x_t + b_{ih}^h + W_{hh}^h h_{t-1} + b_{hh}^h), \\ h_t &= z_t \circ h_{t-1} + (1 - z_t) \circ \tilde{h}_t \end{aligned}\end{split}\]where \(h_t\) is the hidden state at time t, \(x_t\) is the input at time t, \(\sigma\) is the sigmoid function, \(\mathrm{ReLU}\) is the rectified linear unit, and \(\circ\) denotes elementwise multiplication.
In a multilayer LiGRU, the input \(x^{(l)}_t\) of the \(l\)-th layer (\(l \ge 2\)) is the hidden state \(h^{(l-1)}_t\) of the previous layer multiplied by dropout \(\delta^{(l-1)}_t\), where each \(\delta^{(l-1)}_t\) is a Bernoulli random variable which is 0 with probability
dropout.- Parameters:
input_size – The number of expected features in the input x.
hidden_size – The number of features in the hidden state h.
num_layers – Number of recurrent layers. E.g., setting
num_layers=2would mean stacking two LiGRU layers, with the second receiving the outputs of the first. Default: 1dropout – If non-zero, introduces a Dropout layer on the outputs of each layer except the last layer, with dropout probability equal to
dropout. Default: 0batch_first – If
True, then the input and output tensors are provided as (batch, seq, feature) instead of (seq, batch, feature). Default: Falsebias – If
False, then the layer does not use input-side biases. Default: Truerecurrent_bias – If
False, then the layer does not use recurrent biases. Default: Truenonlinearity – Activation for the candidate \(\tilde{h}\). Default:
torch.relu()gate_nonlinearity – Activation for the update gate \(z\). Default:
torch.sigmoid()kernel_init – Initializer for W_{ih}. Default:
torch.nn.init.xavier_uniform_()recurrent_kernel_init – Initializer for W_{hh}. Default:
torch.nn.init.xavier_uniform_()bias_init – Initializer for b_{ih}. Default:
torch.nn.init.zeros_()recurrent_bias_init – Initializer for b_{hh}. Default:
torch.nn.init.zeros_()device – The desired device of parameters.
dtype – The desired floating point type of parameters.
